It's hard to believe that I'll (maybe) be here to our nation's 250th birthday. We are a young nation. I remember the celebrations in 1976 for our bicentennial.

I just worry about Spencer. He freaks out when there are fireworks and I'm sure there are going to be a terrific amount this 4th. I do have his Thunder Shirt, but he has lost so much weight because of his illness I'm afraid it might not fit tight enough to offer much relief and comfort.

I might watch some of the festivities on TV, but most likely won't. I'm not much of a festive watcher unless I'm there in person.
