I really empathize with Lucie. Mine began swelling when I had my heart surgery in 2010 and has been like that til last August. Things went south and trying to keep living, I was bedfast for four months. Top it off with the gout infection and sepsis, I feel lucky to even have feet. Shoes are almost impossible now.
