I agree...Pattie kept this going. When they first cancelled Webby, it was utter confusion. Lucie and Pattie both worked hard to keep the Widows together and in a group. I recall going to the public library and using a computer for six or seven months until we could gather us all in one place. Technical know how took a lot of us out of Widows. Health killed a lot of them off.
I often joke (tho it isn't a joke--) that you gals and a few others know me better than most of my family and friends do. And that's due to all the posts about different conditions you each have contributed to the dialog that makes that true.
It's a safe place where I can let out my true feelings and thoughts, regardless of how far out they are.
LONG POSTS? That's the very reason we feel at home here. Never think we get tired of hearing about whether or not you're getting better...or that some new trial or tribulation is boring or not interesting. We CARE. You each are often in my nightly prayers and sometimes, if you've been hurt or sick, in the ones I say during the day.


I work every day with A-I. That doesn't mean I'm good at it. I love playing with the pictures and such. My work with it consists of helping it understand surnames, given names and whether or not the word is actually a name to be transcribed.
Transcribers and people like me are helping tear down brick walls in the family trees! It is an un-ending task, but a joyful one. Your local Family History Center has openings and can teach you the basics if you're interested in helping conserve (and find-) the true history of our world's people.
