About 6 months. I have dry macular degeneration in my right eye, and it's been checked every 6 months. Now it will be every year as it hasn't changed in several years.

As far as vision...about 2 years. That hasn't changed either although I'd like a new frame. I've had these about 7 or 8 years. I think it's about time.
