we went to Lubbock to see our oldest grand graduate from Tx Tech with her BS. She finished in 3 yrs . She will will begin her new job June 1 at a hosp . She turns 21 tomorrow. She has decided to take a yr off to work and then begin a 3 yr study to become a PA then later go to med school. We are so proud of her. She got her LVN while in HS but with Covid never got to use it, She volunteered in Hospice while at Tech and used those many hrs to apply for her hosp job. She is really looking forward to it. Will begin in ER and rotate to Icu and Pedi as needed.
Came home a little sooner as we just buried a dear HS friend, a vet we have spent many hrs at his bedside in the vet nursing home. He was always so cheerful, never complained and was on our yr long planning committee for or 60th HS reunion last yr. That is when we became so close, a group of 12 planners. His funeral was beautiful, mariachi music was used for the mass and he was buried at our local state vet cemetery. It is in my home town and we will visit the burial site and leave our small flag, as Jim and I do.
It is good to be home and rest and watch a much need few days of rain. Will be catching up on days of reading ngs.
