The young men and women had a project every spring to raise money for youth camp.Someone had donated two industrial mixers to church so the entire church would meet and mix butter and powdered sugar.Like an assembly line soon as it was mixed some would shape eggs then the next day they'd gather and dip them in chocolate.

Orders were taken before they were made so few were leftover.I don't remember but I think there were 5 or 6 flavors to choose from.If requested names were added.It was hard work but delivery day made it special.

Then fundraising was stopped.The mixers were sold.All that remained were the many memories.It created a friendlier membership at the time.It taught everyone the rewards of hard work.

If you were choosing a big chocolate covered egg what flavor would you choose? I liked vanilla and I can't count how many peanut butter ones I sold for the fundraiser.Someone told me that all the sugar we used would penetrate our skin and cause a sugar high lol.Is that true about it going into our system just by handling? We wore gloves though.
