Well first you get an iron skillet hot while stirring together cornmeal,egg,milk and little bit of oil or melted butter.Stir mixture then pour into your hot skillet that has a couple tablespoons oil or melted butter.Bake at 450° until browned.Turn it out onto a plate and cut into wedges.

To make the "milkshake" crumble cornbread into a pint Mason jar (or glass) then pour cold buttermilk over the bread.Grab a spoon and enjoy.

Of course if you don't care for buttermilk plain milk is just as yummy
