I agree about the tomatoes, Pattie. Grown out in the open air and sunshine are the best.
Back in California I had a beefsteak tomato plant that just produced and produced year after year. It was on the east side of the house so got that morning sun. I'd even take some out to my mom making sure I'd pick some that weren't quite ripe yet, so they'd last. She'd set them in her kitchen windowsill, so they'd ripen by sunshine.
