I'm invited to my brother's for Thanksgiving and they are invited here for Christmas. They live 5 minutes from me, so I won't mind driving home in the dark, which I avoid most of the time.

I leave my fall decorations up until December 1st when I change to Christmas. After Halloween I remove anything that is related to it leaving just the fall stuff.

My decorations have been scaled way down. My living room is so small I don't dare overwhelm it with too much. I have that small wooden tree I put on the hearth that suffices. I used to put a small fake tree on the ledge behind the couch, but it got to where it was too much for me to kneel on the couch to put it there then take it down.

Of course, my front door always gets decorated for the holiday or season. That's my one constant joy.
