It is 34° and I need another quilt.I have warm pajamas on but dread getting up in the cold.

Do you ever sleep with socks on? I have worn one sock to bed to protect my bandaged toe but tonight I decided to wear both socks lol.

I like sleeping in a cool room.I remember my grandmother staking quilt after quilt on our beds.They would be so heavy it was hard to turn over.They kept us warm though.She would get up and get a fire going in the coal burning fireplace so we would be warm getting out of bed.

We had to heat water in the wood cook stove to wash our faces and brush our teeth.

Do you think we would be satisfied to go back to those days with primitive heating and no indoor plumbing? I would miss the indoor plumbing for sure.
