I do though from 8th grade. We remained best friends until she passed in 1976. She was from Kansas and was a bit of a celebrity in her hometown. She was quite the tap dancer and singer and performed at different events and even sang on radio. She did a number at the talent show at our junior high and came in second. The judges (teacher's) told her that she would have come in first, but they thought her number was a bit too adult.

I was in awe of her talent and her imagination. She always seemed to be creating something in her mind's eye. She was outgoing and fun. I still miss her.
