I had nothing to rebel against, but it was the thing to do. So my dates were older boys and always the ones on the wild side. Like you, Pattie, I had friends who happened to be male. They seemed more honest than 3/4 of the girls I knew. So when we did stuff, it was usually swimming in forbidden water (the Colorado River--) or trying to make our cars climb rocks the size of buildings. Fun stuff, y'know. I hope I didn't break any hearts. I know the one student I dated was little disappointed I didn't spend Christmas with him and his folks in Colorado, but I hadn't been away from my folks ever, and I was honest that I didn't feel like doing that, no matter how many other folks were there to chaperone.
