We had a friend who was from Old Mexico so I'd had authentic Mexican food...loved it, and spicy is better. I never had a pizza until a boyfriend bought a box mix and had Mom fix it. He was from Oklahoma. It looked and smelled like barf to me. I refused to eat it. A few years later I tried bought pizza from a pizza place, and I was hooked.
But I like most foods. Asian food (American Asian foods, that is--) is a favorite. I don't want raw anything or something that is going to crawl up my chopstick and greet me.!
