When I first bought my house in 2007 there used to be coyotes I'd see just as it had gotten dark. I'd see quails too and there was a murdering road runner who used to kill its prey on my front porch. I'd see the splattered blood and couldn't figure out what it was until I had a "native" told me a road runner was killing its catch by beating its head on the hard surface. Since then there has been a lot more houses built so I don't see them anymore.
