Pattie, I have a gas stove, but it has a striker to light it. It's powered by electricity. The gas stove in my California home doesn't have that. it has gas pilots that are lit all the time. I don't think you could get any like that again in this day and age.

When our power was out a few days ago I tried to light the oven and forgot. No heat at all and I was really cold. Not like your weather but cold for here.
