My daughter bought me a crackling candle that smelt like fresh pine boughs. It made the ambiance, for sure. I did live where there was a fireplace. But all I remember about it was standing in my long flannel nightgown with it pulled up over my backside, because that part was cold. Then I'd have to turn around and face that fire to get the other side warm!
