At my home church in California, there was a small parking lot behind the church and the cars would be all around it leaving one opening for coming and going. They asked for 1 bag of candy if you'd like to contribute. Wasn't necessary though.

So, all the cars were contained in one spot so milling around was in the middle. It was great. No worries. The sanctuary, after a time, was turned into a little carnival.
