We lived on the side of a hill. Lots of folks had land enough to garden, others lived in a closer neighborhood.

My mom would usually make our costumes and we'd be able to go all over that hillside trick-or-treating. All the houses seem to participate and one house in particular always had a regular size Hersey Bar for certain kids they knew. We always got one and that is what makes me smile whenever I think of Halloween when I was a kid. Hershey Bars were my absolute favorite.
