Lucie, how's is your walking coming along? Are you still confined to a wheelchair? That would be hard to get used to.

Sometime today or this evening, my youngest grandson will be coming up to spend a few days with me. He's moving from California (Rene's house) to Billings, MT back to his old job.

He quit that one in MT and they told him he'd have his job back if things didn't turn out. They didn't so he's on his way back.

Mostly he wanted to help his mom after his dad died. Rene' was so used to Johnny doing everything that she was struggling. Johnny left so many things as he was 1) a bit of a hoarder and 2) a musician with lots of instruments, music, etc. 3) a poet, newspaper man, writer with all that seems to collect over time and 4) a mechanic. He had 2 cars and 3 motorcycles, and he was always working on one of them.

The job Michael took in CA he couldn't stand and without even giving notice, he waited to get his paycheck, then the next morning quit via e-mail. I know - not good, but he really hated that place so I guess I can't blame him for not wanting to stick around for another 2 weeks.

I'm taking him, my brother and sis-in-law to a steakhouse for dinner on the 30th then he'll be on his way Oct. 2. It'll be nice to have him here for that many days. He's very handy so I have a few things lined up to do for me. He's like his dad, needs things to do. He can't sit still for long.
