A popular department store here had a small elevator and there was one lone operator that greeted you and asked where you wanted to go.It seemed very special back in the sixties.It never entered my mind that it could get stuck.

A senior high rise apartment close by has two buildings and the fire department always gets calls to free people stuck then usually when they arrive no one is on the elevator.I think maybe there is someone that gets bored and needs the excitement a stuck elevator causes among the residents.
