I hadn't realized they were striking. My union experience was short and sweet. Bill belonged to the Teamsters' Union while I was pregnant. They paid for my son to be born. We had to come up with $34 and I felt that was pretty sweet.
Motel workers? Not as drastic as doctors and nurses striking, but let's face it, they only make minimum wages and it is needed. People will likely just go to places where the help isn't striking.
