Hi ~ Everyone, you can call your Local "County Assistance Office" or Office On Aging

If they over-see the MIPPA Program or ask them who would, you would speak to a SHIP Representative to apply to the program every year

The MIPPA Program will help pay for your Supplemental Health Insurance Premium for Healthcare and for Prescriptions.

If you are also on Adult State Medicaid, let the SHIP Rep know and that helps with MIPPA, because the program is Income Based.

With the MIPPA Program, you may pay a small copay for Health Insurance Coverage or nothing at all

it's the same with your Prescriptions, you pay a small copay or nothing at all.

You can make an In-Person Appointment or have a Phone Interview with a SHIP Rep. and they start taking Appointments in October up to December

Since it would be your 1st. time applying, it would be best to have an "In-Person Appointment".

You give them your List of Medicines, Dosages, how many times for each Pill, etc. to the SHIP Rep

and they put all of the Info in a Computer and that lets them know each year, which Insurance Company would pay for your Coverage.

The very 1st. time that you apply to the MIPPA Program

They will take money from your Social Security Check and then put it back the very next month.

Any money that you were paying for a different Medicare Health Insurance Coverage that you have right now,

you could now pocket that money each month or a very small amount of the money pays for your MIPPA Coverage.

When you apply to the MIPPA Program every year, they never take money from your Social Security, ever again.

The SHIP Rep. will give you a Temp Card, so that you can get your Prescriptions filled

Until your New Health Insurance Card for Prescriptions would come in the mail, sometime in December, so you can use it starting in January 2027.

I have been on the MIPPA Program for 10 years and it was President Obama that was able to get it signed into Law.

Once you receive your Social Security Check, then every year, apply for your Adult State Medicaid and the MIPPA Program,

you would qualify for both of those programs, having Low Income

and this will at least help keep some money in your pocket of not having to pay for an AARP or whatever Companies, Supplemental Health Insurance Cover.
