The fishing vessels here are selling Albacore tuna for $3.50 a pound, but you have to buy a whole fish. Many folks here on the west coast can their own tuna. I did one year, but it entailed 4 pressure cookers at once and 6 tubs of fileted tuna. But I never want to eat commercially canned tuna again! I can't stand on my feet any more to actually do the canning. It's sure worth it.
