since Jackie/Shadows nest is only 100 miles from here, the news always kept up with the terrific camera work and how the couple was doing w/their eggs and babies for years now.

Jackie was out looking for food and got attacked by two younger eagles. She was rescued and a vet has been treating her for about 2 weeks but she was anemic and weak and couldn't regain her health.
Shadow was shown in the nest tending to the 3 kids....seems there was a younger female attempting to join the nest but Shadow gave her the boot.
