There might have been some divorce couples in my town but I never knew of any. None of my friends or classmates parents were divorce, even in my generation in my town, there were extremely few divorces, marriage was considered for life, so people made it work. Now with the next generation, divorce is the norm and staying married is abnormal, though in my family I do have two nieces and two nephews that have been married over 20 years, which is very abnormal for their generation.
