I used to clean for a doctor and he stated that eggs if refrigerated can last up to 3+ months, I know I've had eggs in the refrig for a couple months that were still good, he stated that if the egg smells when you crack it open then it's bad but otherwise if it doesn't smell, it's good.

We have a Food Shelf in my town which gets what they call "recovered food" from grocery stores and restaurants and all of their food is beyond either the Sell by date or the Best used by date and they're able to give it out to people because it is still safe to eat.
