do you collect SS off your work record or off your hb's?

I collect 1/2 hbs and have ever since he retired, if you collect off your record, his is likely much higher. Just a call to the SS office could make you more monthly income.

My sister did from her ex, after divorced for 25 years, she never knew she could collect of his (she never remarried)
