Unfortunately Boardhost browser sniffers can detect some of the ad blocker software add ons, and block you until you turn them off. It can definitely detect the Google Chrome browser's ad blocker and force you to shut it off.

But if you download the Opera browser, which is a more compact browser that takes up less MB space on your computer, smart phone, or tablet, it has a built-in ad blocker Boardhost can't detect. Opera also comes with a free VPN built in as well, so I cancelled my pricey VPN service through AVG. I'm on my cell phone and post in Boardhost groups with Opera and don't run into issues with ads. OTOH occasionally I can't get into Boardhost at all in the mornings but they're probably doing website maintenance when that happens.
