I agree with Lucie about asking at the place that you show your paintings, to see if they know of a place for you to sell them. Pick out the ones you like best and take them with you because every nursing home I've been to has allowed the residents to put up personal pictures in their room.

Have you found a dog rescue place to see if they know of anybody who fosters dogs ? if not then google dog fostering within your zipcode area or the zipcode areas around you and see if you come up with anything.
