what was the worse thing your cat/dog ate that wasn't meant as food?

My first cat, Gizmo...ate a xmas stick on ribbon. Almost a week giving him petmalt, nothing. The vet wanted to open him up.
Finally he threw it up, it was still in perfect condition. NO more ribbons on xmas packages EVER.

My dtrs dog got into the trash and ate used tampons. Being a yorkie, if that thing expanded, he would be dead.
Dtr knew pouring peroxide down his throat would make him throw up...it did and he was fine. I didn't know that at the time but I remembered the cure if I ever needed it for my cats. Luckily they don't get into stuff.
