Re: train traveling

I've never been on one but I have friends who took a tour train from Ontario Canada to Spokane WA. They said they had viewing cars that were glass dome so they could easily look at the scenery and mountain tops and the seats in the viewing cars swiveled so they could look straight out towards the scenery. They also said every night a steward would come to their cabin and pull down the overhead bunk and then strap them both into their beds. That surprised me so much that I forgot to ask if they got up in the night to pee if the steward came back and strapped them back into their beds ! Every night the staff word perform by dancing and singing to them as they brought food they ate in the dining cars that had long tables down the center of them and the food was all freshly made by chefs that were onboard. It actually sounded like fun but it was very pricey, a trip that I'll never be able to afford to take.
