Air Fryer Salt and Vinegar Chicken Wings
Servings: 4
2 pounds chicken wings wingettes and drumettes
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup of malt vinegar
1/2 cup of water
1 ½ Tablespoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons dry ranch mix
1 Tablespoon sugar or Monk Fruit 1:1 sugar substitute for a keto-friendly version
1 teaspoon of coarse ground pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ cup Balsamic Vinegar optional. For those who love to add the Balsamic vinegar taste
Marinate the Wings: In a large resealable plastic bag or glass bowl, combine all ingredients. Add the chicken wings, ensuring they're fully submerged in the marinade. Seal and refrigerate for 2-4 hours; longer marination enhances the flavor.
Prepare for Cooking: After marinating, drain the wings and pat them dry with paper towels. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to reach room temperature.
Air Fry the Wings: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray or brush the wings with olive oil. Arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they're not overcrowded. Cook for 20 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through at the 10-minute mark, until they're golden brown and crispy.
Serve: Once done, remove the wings and serve warm with your preferred dipping sauce.
Notes
Top Tip: For the boldest flavor, marinate the wings in vinegar for at least an hour (or even overnight) before air frying. This helps them soak up that tangy goodness and makes every bite extra flavorful!
Gluten-Free Tip: To keep Air Fryer Salt and Vinegar Chicken Wings completely gluten-free, make sure to use a gluten-free vinegar (like white or apple cider vinegar) and check that any seasonings or coatings, like salt blends or spices, don’t contain hidden gluten.
