I've been having to take Eliquis (blood thinner for afib)
....last couple years the price averaged $250 for 3 month supply. It's $1800 w/o insurance.
This year, my insurance changed, now its $425 for 3 months.

Finally a generic became available for Pradaxa...called dabigatran. I had the dr. call it in for me, it will cost me $120 for 3 months.
Almmost the same as Eliquis.
I think it's horrible these drug companies keep these price ridiculously high.

It pays to keep an eye on other choices, a few months ago this generic wasn't even available.
Also, "goodrx" is a great place to find a cheaper price on meds, sometimes they are better than the insurance prices.
