Same here. We had to at least try things and eat two bites of it. One bite to see if you liked it and another bite to make sure.

I was at some kind of luncheon with other family members and my niece who was a fussy child was there. I remember very nice sandwiches of ham salad, chicken salad and other luncheon foods. It was perfectly fine and nice. She wouldn't eat the sandwiches because they were made with mayo and she wouldn't eat anything else for another reason. The luncheon ladies were so upset that they didn't have anything for her to eat. One sent her husband to the store during this luncheon to get some PB&J. They made her that.

It's a good thing I was never a Mother. LOL. I would not have tolerated something like that. Those luncheon ladies, who were volunteers and the husband, were very inconvenienced by this difficult kid. That kid could have eaten some fruit salad or some of the other things served, but no she wouldn't eat anything. Her mother just doted on her. I bet they drove through a McDonald's on the way home.

Why do people let their kids control everything like that? I would have gotten a spanking or a severe talking to when I got home.
