I need another crown replaced. Hb is livid. He blames the dentist and blames him for being dishonest.

He doesn't understand that people with immune system diseases can have problems with their teeth in later life.

Dentist says I have some decay at the gumline. He patched it before with a filling but the filling keeps falling out. He says he can patch it again but he says it will most likely fall out again and the cavity will go deeper, need more drilling and a bigger filling. Or he could take the old crown off and replace it with a special one that goes under the gum more so the cavity cannot start at the gumline again. Cost $1300. Dentist recommends the new crown. Hb who hasn't been to a dentist in 30 years thinks taking care of your teeth isn't necessary. It's a waste of money. He says just get the tooth pulled. So he's ranting and raving and yelling and accusing the dentist of all kinds of things.

I like my dentist. He's very gentle. I can't see winding up getting another molar pulled just the get Hb off my back, only having him die in a few months like he keeps telling me he will and there I am without a Hb AND without teeth. My teeth are part of my body. A part I want to keep, if possible. No one should be harassing another person about removing a part of their body that they don't want removed. End of story. So that is where we are now. I must call dentist soon and tell him what I decided.
