I've took it many years ago and it did work to a degree for me but one of it's side effects is dreams and I felt like I was waking up more often during the night instead of sleeping straight through the night so I quit taking them.

I just googled side effects and found that there are certain medications you shouldn't take it with and if you have diabetes you shouldn't take it without your doctors approval. I also see that one of the side effects can be dizziness and because I already have vertigo, I wouldn't want to add to that.

Headache
Dizziness
Vivid dreams or nightmares
Drowsiness---I would think this is one side effect that you would want !
Nausea
Abdominal pain
Irritability
Diarrhea
Mood swings
Increased risk of seizures
Nighttime urinary incontinence
Constipation
Decreased appetite
Disorientation
Reduced alertness
