Golden crispy egg rolls stuffed with juicy shrimp, crunchy cabbage, garlic, and savory seasonings… one bite and you’ll hear that PERFECT crunch
📝 Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined & chopped
2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
1 cup purple cabbage, shredded
1 carrot, julienned
3 green onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp sriracha or chili sauce (optional)
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cornstarch
Egg roll wrappers
1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for sealing)
Oil for frying
🍽️ Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine shrimp, green cabbage, purple cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, and ginger.
2️⃣ Season Everything
Add soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, black pepper, salt, and cornstarch. Mix until everything is well coated.
3️⃣ Fill the Wrappers
Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Add filling near one corner, then fold and roll tightly.
4️⃣ Seal the Rolls
Brush the edges with egg wash and seal completely so the filling stays inside while frying.
5️⃣ Fry Until Crispy
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
6️⃣ Drain & Serve
Place on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, spicy mayo, or soy dipping sauce.
