1. Classic Butter Crust
Ingredients
2½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
¼ cup ice-cold water
Method
Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Rub in cold butter until crumbly. Add ice water little by little and bring together into a dough. Chill for 30 minutes. Roll and use as needed.
2. Graham Cracker Crust
Ingredients
1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
⅓ cup melted butter
¼ cup sugar
Method
Mix everything well. Press firmly into a pie dish. Chill for 20 minutes or bake at 180°C for 8 minutes.
3. Oreo Cookie Crust
Ingredients
2 cups crushed Oreo cookies
5 tbsp melted butter
Method
Mix crushed cookies with butter. Press tightly into the pan. Chill or bake at 180°C for 8 minutes.
4. Almond Flour Crust
Ingredients
1½ cups almond flour
¼ cup melted butter
1 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
Method
Mix all ingredients. Press evenly into the pan. Bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes.
5. Gluten-Free Crust
Ingredients
2 cups gluten-free flour blend
½ cup butter
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cold water
½ tsp xanthan gum
¼ tsp salt
Method
Mix dry ingredients. Rub in butter. Add cold water and form dough. Chill 20 minutes, then roll or press and bake.
6. Shortbread Crust
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup butter
¼ cup powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
Method
Mix butter and sugar. Add flour and vanilla. Press dough into pan and bake at 180°C for 12–15 minutes.
7. Vegan Pie Crust
Ingredients
2½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup coconut oil
2 tbsp maple syrup
4 tbsp cold water
½ tsp salt
Method
Mix flour and salt. Add coconut oil and rub in. Add maple syrup and cold water to form dough. Chill before using.
8. Whole Wheat Crust
Ingredients
1½ cups whole wheat flour
½ cup butter
1 tbsp honey
3 tbsp cold water
½ tsp salt
Method
Mix flour and salt. Rub in butter. Add honey and water to make dough. Chill and roll.
9. Cheddar Cheese Crust
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
½ cup butter
¼ tsp salt
3 tbsp ice water
Method
Mix flour, salt, and cheese. Rub in butter. Add ice water and form dough. Chill before rolling.
