📝 Ingredients
→ Seafood
• 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined, no tails
• 1/2 lb sea scallops, patted dry
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
→ Creamy garlic sauce
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
→ To finish
• 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
• A small squeeze of lemon juice, optional
🍽️ How to Make It
1️⃣ Season the seafood
Heat the oven to 400°F.
Pat the shrimp and scallops dry. Season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
2️⃣ Make the creamy garlic base
In a small saucepan over medium low heat, melt the butter.
Add the garlic and cook about 30 seconds until fragrant, not browned.
Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan. Cook a few minutes, stirring, until the sauce is smooth and slightly thick.
3️⃣ Assemble the bake
Place the shrimp and scallops in a small baking dish in a single layer.
Pour the warm creamy garlic sauce over the top so the seafood is mostly coated.
4️⃣ Bake until just done
Bake uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and C shaped, tender and not tight curled, and the scallops are just cooked through and opaque in the center.
5️⃣ Finish and serve
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and add a small squeeze of lemon if you like.
Serve hot with crusty bread, mashed potatoes, rice, or a little pasta to catch the sauce.
