Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon oregano
¼ teaspoon black pepper
8 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 cup sour cream
3 green onions, chopped
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic until no pink remains.
Drain excess fat and return to pan.
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, salt, oregano, and pepper.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a bowl, combine cooked noodles, sour cream, and green onions.
Layer half the noodle mixture in baking dish.
Top with half the meat sauce and half the mozzarella and cheddar.
Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
