Ingredients:
- 4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes and red onion.
2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
3. Pour the dressing over the tomatoes and onion, tossing gently to combine.
4. Add the chopped basil and gently fold into the salad.
5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the salad marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
