1 lb. ground beef
seasonings to taste - garlic & onion powder, blk
pepper, celery salt, Mrs. Dash etc.
1 &1/2 sweet peppers (med./lrg.), sliced in strips
1 small onion, sliced into strips
2 Tbsp. soya sauce
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 C. beef broth
2 pkg. ramen noodles (set aside flavour packets)
You will need a large size frying pan with good height to the sides.
Cook ground beef over med. heat till most of the pink is gone and drain. Season the beef as desired.
Turn heat to low and add the vegetables. Mix up. Add the soya sauce, the Worcestershire sauce and the brown sugar. Pour in the beef stock and bring heat back up to med. Mix together again. Add the ramen noodles on top of the meat mixture in the centre of the pan. Cover and cook for 5 min. Remove the lid and flip the noodles over as best you can; cover and cook another 5 min. Once the noodles have softened and cooked, mix well to incorporate.
Optional: Add 1/4 to1/2 a block of softened cream cheese to the pan, melt in and mix to make a creamier sauce. May top with sliced green onions.
