Soft bread in 10 minutes from start to finish. Plus you can brush the top with butter, garlic, cilantro or parsley and you’ve got the most delicious quick naan. This bread is so soft, light and flavorful.
INGREDIENTS:
300 g all purpose flour/ more for rolling
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup room temperature water
YOU CAN KEEP IT PLAIN
OR TOP IT WITH A MIX OF:
1 stick of butter
2 tbsp minced garlic
3 tbsp chopped cilantro
*Cook the butter, garlic and cilantro for one minute until the butter melts and you can smell the garlic.
*Brush each flat bread while still warm.
Preparation:
Simply mix all all the dry ingredients then add the wet ingredients. Mix until it forms a dough, don’t overwork the dough and it doesn’t have to rest as well. Heat a non stick pan or cast iron. Make 8 round balls and roll using more flour. Cook on top of the stove for a minute or a little less, you’ll be able to tell the dough is successful as soon as as it start to form bubbles inside the pan, flip on the other side, give it another 30 seconds. Enjoy as is or brush with butter garlic and cilantro.
