2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsps baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, beaten
3/4 cup milk
7 tablespoons melted butter
Mix all of the above by hand just until moistened. Add 1 cup cranberries cut in half and 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Grease a bread pan and line it with parchment paper and grease the parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 335 degrees.
Put the above mixture in the prepared pan and top it with streusel made of 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons cold butter, cut in until crumbly.
Cook for about one hr and 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for about 25 minutes before lifting the parchment paper and bread from the pan.
Let cool completely and drizzle a glaze made of 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar and a tablespoon of milk. Wrap it up - and tempting as it is, try not to cut it for an hour.
