- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar

Additional:
- 1 cup hot water
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, sift together the flour, ¾ cup white sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
3. Stir the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients until just combined.
4. Pour the batter into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
5. In a separate bowl, mix the ½ cup white sugar, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
6. Pour the hot water over the entire dish—do not stir.
