If you’re a fan of fresh bagels, this may be the easiest way to make your own while keeping the fluffy texture.
For four bagels, you’ll need:
👉 1 C self rising flour
👉 3/4 C Greek yoghurt
👉 1 tsp salt
👉 optional: seeds
1. Whisk flour, greek yoghurt and salt together then kneed it until combined. The dough doesn’t need to be super smooth but the flour should be absorbed
2. Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll each into a balls, then poke a hole in the middle. Stretch them out so the hole has a size of about 2cm / 1 inch. If the dough is sticky dust the surface and your hands with flour
3. Preheat your oven to 180C /350F and bring a large pot of water to boil. Now boil each bagel for 2 minutes, remove it from the water with a sieve so the excess water drips off. Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and sprinkle seeds on top. Repeat for all 4 bagels
4. Bake them for 20 minutes, until lightly golden
