Ok these are truly the easiest things you’ll ever make. All you need is 1 cup of self rising flour (or if you’re gluten free, 1 cup self rising gluten free flour) & 1 cup of Greek yogurt. The toppings would be extra ingredients.
Mix those two together with a wooden spoon. Once it starts coming together in the mixing bowl, get it on a surface where you can kneed it into a ball-ish shape. This dough is SUPER sticky. Add more flour whenever you need to. Make sure you have flour on your hands and on the surface you’re working on. Just keep adding bits of flour as needed. Cut the dough into four equal parts, roll each into a 4-6 inch sphere and connect it to make the bagel shape. Put your bagel shapes on a baking sheet with parchment paper. If you want to add toppings, the egg wash should be 1 egg with a splash of water mixed. I think I’ll try cinnamon and sugar bagels next time! My kids would love those.
It’s ok if your bagels still seem sticky before they go in the oven. As long as they’re in a bagel shape and on the baking sheet you’ll be good!
Bake at 350 for 22 mins. Take them out and increase the temp to 450. Once it’s at 450 put them back in for another 4-6 mins depending on how toasty you like them.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can freeze for up to 3 months.
