Cookie Crunch Rice Krispie Treats:
7 TBSP butter
1 16 oz bag mini marshmallows
6 cups rice krispie cereal
3/4 cups Frosted Circus Animal Cookies
Optional: 1/2 cup confetti sprinkles (add with cereal and cookie pieces
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and grease heavily.
Using a knife, chop the cookies into small pieces/chunks and set aside.
Place butter and marshmallows in large bowl.
Heat in microwave in 20-30 second bursts until butter is melted and marshmallows are mostly melted (a few whole marshmallows may remain).
Stir with silicone spatula until butter and marshmallows are mixed well. Do not stir long as you want the mixture to remain warm and not begin to harden.
Add all of the rice krispie cereal as well as the cookie pieces to the butter/marshmallow mixture and stir until incorporated.
Pour mixture into prepared pan and spread out into bowl.
Press mixture down with the silicone spatula.
Let cool for 20-30 minutes and then cut into 12 standard pieces.
