2 lbs. roasted salted mixed nuts (2C = 1 pound)
6 Tbsp. salted butter
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp. fresh rosemary, chopped
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Instructions
Melt the butter in a small saucepan on the stove top, add the brown sugar, cayenne and rosemary. Stir. No salt is necessary unless you have unsalted nuts.
Add the mixed nuts to the slow cooker. Pour over the butter mixture. Stir.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour 20 minutes. Stirring every 20 minutes to prevent burning.
Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
If you serve these right out of the slow cooker, it’s better to turn the slow cooker to off, even the warm function will over cook these and may cause burning.
These Slow Cooker Union Bar Nuts are a great recipe for a party and they are great for a few days after too! I keep the extras in a ziplock bag and take a handfuls for snacks.
