* 2 cups flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon pumpkin piespice
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 egg
* 1 cup canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease baking sheets.
Combine dry ingredients.
Cream butter, sugar and egg until smooth. Add pumpkin and vanilla. Stir in dry
ingredients. Mix until smooth. Stir in nuts, if using.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto prepared sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool
cookies on pan on rack 2 minutes. Transfer cookies to rack to cool completely.
